Welcome to Homemade Homeschoolers – a community BY and FOR creative and eclectic homeschoolers. Home educators tend to be self-sufficient and frugal – often by necessity, but even more often in the pursuit of reaching back to the roots and heritage of traditional home education. Experience has shown that this self-sufficiency manifests itself in innovative and ingenious ways in the “average” homeschooling family.
Our purpose at Homemade Homeschoolers is to build a community linking the creative talents of those “average” homeschooling families together in one place and providing them with all they need to teach and learn at home economically and joyfully. Each family has it’s own niche or area of talent. The Homemade Homeschoolers network is continually being developed to bring together those individual skills, inspirations, and inventions into an online neighborhood for sharing.
At hmhomeschoolers.com you will find:
A constantly updated blog containing ideas for all areas of education, games for learning, homemaking, and crafting, complete with a categorized menu to easily find areas of interest. Search ideas for notebooking, lapbooking, self-designed projects, unit studies, the use of living books in learning, experiments, nature studies, crafts, recipes, family management, and home economizing.
A community refrigerator to display your homeschooler’s artwork, or photos of field trips, finished lapbooks and notebooks, experiments and completed projects!
A place to sell your homemade items. This is specifically for products made by homeschooling families such as jarred goods, candles, crafts, self published books, e-books, curriculum, petcare, linens, etc. Help support fellow homeschoolers! For now the store is offering our products. We are working on making it open to all in the comunity.
The HMHS Podcast Network – bringing your family Video and Audio content to be enjoyed directly on the website, or subscribe and have the podcasts sent to you for personal use on your computer or personal portable media devices.
We need everyone’s contributions to make this Homemade Homeschoolers community all that it can be! Please contact us to get involved.
